Cisco Meeting Place 8 includes a demo license when installed in VMWare which supports 6 concurrent attendees. The host operating system I tested with is Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 running VMWare Workstation 7.1. When creating a new virtual machine the guest OS should be Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (32-bit). Use the default SCSI hard disk controller, allocate 80GB of hard disk space, and for the best performance allocate 4GB of ram. During installation Meeting Place 8 expects the network to provide support for DNS. I would also recommend verifying reach-ability of an NTP server from MP8. If your server has the ability to reach the Internet you may use pool.ntp.org. SMTP is also required on your network if you would like Meeting Place to email notifications to Users about scheduled meetings.
